Jallikattu - Not just a sport but a science.

Introduction We already know that whatever practises that we tamizhans do have a scientific reason behind it. It is similar for our age long ancient sport Jallikattu. Jallikattu is not only a sport but a science. Many people wrongly match it with the bullfighting of Spain and Argentina where the bull is killed. But that is not the case in Jallikattu. The actual name of Jallikattu is Eruthazhuvuthal which means bull cuddling. Bulls are reared specifically for jallikattu in the villages of Tamil Nadu and some parts of the surrounding states. Then think of what will happen to the farmers if this sport is banned. The rural economy of Tamil Nadu will completely shatter.  Jallikattu Jallikattu is an ancient bull cuddling sport that is held after the harvest period around the mid of January till the end of may.
