The actual name of Jallikattu is Eruthazhuvuthal which means bull cuddling. Bulls are reared specifically for jallikattu in the villages of Tamil Nadu and some parts of the surrounding states. Then think of what will happen to the farmers if this sport is banned. The rural economy of Tamil Nadu will completely shatter.
