Jallikattu - Not just a sport but a science.

Introduction

We already know that whatever practises that we tamizhans do have a scientific reason behind it. It is similar for our age long ancient sport Jallikattu. Jallikattu is not only a sport but a science. Many people wrongly match it with the bullfighting of Spain and Argentina where the bull is killed. But that is not the case in Jallikattu. The actual name of Jallikattu is Eruthazhuvuthal which means bull cuddling. Bulls are reared specifically for jallikattu in the villages of Tamil Nadu and some parts of the surrounding states. Then think of what will happen to the farmers if this sport is banned. The rural economy of Tamil Nadu will completely shatter.

Jallikattu

Jallikattu is an ancient bull cuddling sport that is held after the harvest period around the mid of January till the end of may. It is known by different names such as Eruthazhuvuthal, Manjuvirattu etc. There were seals found in the area of Indus valley civilisation that depicts the images of jallikattu that dates back to around 1500 BC. Even texts like Malaipadukadam and Silapathikaram gives us references to this ancient sport. This is shows us the proof that it is an ancient sport.
It is actually a safe sport where a person tries to embrace the stud bull for about 10 seconds or till the bull reaches the end line which is about  50 feet. The person who successfully embraces the bull by its hump is declared as the winner. But if no one is able to embrace the bull successfully then the bull is declared as the winner. The Jallikattu regulation act was passed in 2009 to ensure safe sporting of jallikattu.

Scientific reasons of Jallikattu

We already knew that the characteristics traits from their parents will be inherited to their children. It is similar in case of bulls. If the bull reaches the end from the Vadivasal which is about 50 feet then the bull is declared as winner. But if the person embraces the bull for 10 seconds then the bull losses. So the bull that losses is sent for farming and the bull that wins is sent for breeding to give a more efficient calf. Another scientific reason is to save the indigenous cows and cattle breeds.

A1 milk vs A2 milk

Many of us don't know the difference between the Indian cows and the western hybrid cows. Whatever cow we see in India are generally the Western Hybrid Cows. This is a result due to the White revolution. The short term result of white revolution was more production of milk from a single cow where the indigenous cow could produce only less milk. But they did'nt know the consequences of the A1 milk produced from the western breed. The A1 milk contained protein BCM-7(Casomorphin) which is poisonous and affects the nervous system. This milk leads to diseases like Diabetes, Autism and indigestion. This can also be considered as slow poison.
But the A2 milk that we get from the indigenous breed is safe and healthy. In Fact, the A2 milk is used in organic treatments like panchagavya and jeevamrutham. This treatment also includes Cow dung and urine from indigenous cows. The main difference between western hybrid cows and indigenous cows is the hump where it is absent in western hybrid cows. The milk fed by the mother to the baby is the safe A2 milk. One more worse part of A1 milk is that it crosses the Blood Brain barrier. From this we can know that what will be the consequence if we ban jallikattu. It will lead to extinction to indigenous breeds.

Indigenous Breeds

In 2010 we had about 70 cattle breeds in Tamil Nadu. But now it has reduced to only 30 breeds. In 2010 we had about 3,00,000 cattle in Tamil Nadu. But now we have only around 60,000 cattle. This mainly due to the ban on jallikattu. The most prominent breed are Kangeyam breed, Semmarai breed, Palamalai breed, Alambadi breed, Kollimalai breed, and Puliakulam breed.

Why are MNC's So eager in banning Jallikattu?

The only reason to breed cattle is for jallikattu. The bulls that win jallikattu will be in great demand in market where the poor farmer sell it at high price. Once jallikattu is banned the poor farmer had no means of income. So he has to sell the bull at low price only to MNC's as others will not by due to ban of jallikattu. The MNC's by the at lower price and send it to slaughter house where they earn more profit. We knew that a bull and a cow is required for a new calf. So if all bull goes to the slaughterhouse there will be no bull remaining to breed. So the only way to breed is artificial insemination to cows. Most of the patents to this is with the corporate and MNC's. This creates a huge demand to them. One Indian bull can service up to 40 cows.

Cow Slaughter leads to earthquake

Even would think how does cow slaughter leads to earthquake. But, this is a true information. Try to connect it with Einstein's Pain Wave theory. Earthquakes are generally caused by pain waves. We have three times of waves: Primary waves, Secondary waves, Layer Waves. The primary waves are generally fast and caused by explosions and other big factors. But the secondary waves are slow. When the cows and bulls are killed the emit pain waves. When more of it are killed the pain waves gets more intensified and leads to earthquake.

Who are PETA?

PETA( People for the Ethical Treatments of Animals) is an animal right organisation which has more than 5 million followers globally. It is PETA along with other animal right activists who filled a case in Supreme Court against Jallikattu. It is the great blunder created by PETA. It is due to this banning slaughtering of cow has increased. Many doubt that PETA would have filled the case only by the influence of MNC's and corporates. May be they would have mistakenly compared the sport of jallikattu with that of bullfighting in Spain and Argentina. The PETA actually took many fake photographs of feeding Cocaine, alcohol to bull. They also took fake photograph of a farmer harassing the bull. But all these photographs were set up them. The supreme court judge handling this case should once come visit and see how is the jallikattu played instead of seeing the recorded one. The supreme court must ask the bull growers or the players who play jallikattu about how is it played instead of asking the people residing in city.
What do the people residing in city know about jallikattu. So PETA taking advantage over this has successfully convinced the supreme court to ban jallikattu. But nothing bothers them. What will a organisation residing in America know about the tradition of Tamil Nadu.

Consequences of banning Jallikattu

  1. Crashing of rural economy
  2. Extinction of Indigenous breeds of cattle
  3. Flourishing of MNC's and Corporates
  4. Destruction of identity of Tamizhans
  5. More diseases due to consumption of A1 milk
Already Australia and New Zealand have started to consume more amount of A2 milk. But in India only 8% of the milk consumers consume A2 milk milk. Rest consume only the poisonous A1 milk.

True Facts of Jallikattu

  • There were no major deaths reported after the introduction of Tamil Nadu Jallikattu regulation Act, 2009.
  • All the bulls taking part in the jallikattu are tested and certified by the government Veterinarians before and after the event.
  • All the players taking part in jallikattu undergoes a medical fitness test.
  • None of the bulls are beaten up to enter the arena.
  • All the events of jallikattu are recorded.

Conclusion

We tamizhans have a rich culture and heritage. But the current generation are not bothered about it and blindly follow the western culture. For the bull growers the only way of income is the jallikattu that happens only four months a year. The true animal lover is the person who never bothers about the income but rows the animal even at poverty. But these animal right activist and PETA do nothing other than to oppose and pretend as though they are the true animal lovers. It the identity of a person is destroyed then he is a refugee in the country. Already we have lost more of our identity. So we must join together to save our identity. A farmer being poor cannot afford to go to delhi and fight for his right. So it should be we the people who must fight for the rights of the farmers and our identity.Save Jallikattu.
